CHANDIGARH: Upset over compartment in two subjects, a teenage boy committed suicide by hanging at Khewda village of the Rai sub-division of Haryana's Sonipat district during late night hours of Thursday.
Identified as Ishu Kumar, the victim was the youngest among the three siblings born to a factory worker who lived at Khewda village. He was student of a private school and was upset as he had got to re-appear in two subjects in the Class X examination results declared by Haryana Board last week.

Vinod Kumar, investigating officer of the case, said that the incident took place in the room which is situated on the top floor of the house. "As usual, he had gone to the room for studies. All this became known when his mother had gone to serve him milk. As he did not respond to the door knocks, she peeped through the window and found him hanging. She raised an alarm and the door was broken open and his body was hanging with a duppata tied on ceiling," said IO.
Meanwhile, police rushed to the spot. The family has ruled out foul play, he added. On Friday, the body was handed over to kin after autopsy, which confired the death due to hanging.
