A 14-year-old boy who was allegedly driving a car when it crashed and killed his teen friend has been seen making gang signs and eating KFC from his hospital bed.
The Waterford West teen and a 10-year-old girl, who were both allegedly involved in the car theft, were pictured eating fast food at Queensland Children's Hospital on Friday.
Jacob Hopkins, 14, was a passenger in the Mazda SUV that police allege ran a red light speeding through Rothwell, north of Brisbane, at 4pm on Wednesday.
Four girls aged 10, 13, 14 and 16 - were passengers and taken to hospital along with the alleged driver - all are now in a stable condition.
Jacob and the accused driver were allegedly members of the so-called Northside Gang known for its distinct gang sign - a single finger covering or near ones face.

Jacob declared himself part of the North Side Gang, in the northern Brisbane suburb of Redcliffe, and posed in numerous photos stamped with the group's name.
In photos he made the same hand gestures as the two hospital-bound children.
Friends and family mourned the teenager as 'taken too soon' on social media in the hours after his death.
'I can't believe it's real. All the s**t you got up to, you didn't deserve this. Always been that second family for you no matter what, we love you and only wanted the best for you,' a close friend said.
Another friend said Jacob was the 'strongest boy she knew'.
'Fly in the Dream Time, forever our memories are now stories. We love you mate we will never forget you,' they said.

Police alleged the Mazda SUV was stolen from a shopping centre in nearby Kallangur earlier on Wednesday.
The alleged driver of the vehicle, a Waterford West teen, 14, and one of the girls suffered critical injuries when they were taken to the Queensland Children's Hospital.
The occupants of the other car involved in the crash, a woman, 26, and four young children escaped serious injury.
A Rothwell resident told the Courier Mail he saw distraught family members at the crash scene yelling, 'my kids could be in there'.
Kimmy Delaporte described the collision as was of the 'most traumatic car crashes' she had ever seen, while Beverley Brady said it was the stuff 'nightmares were made of'.
Queensland Ambulance senior operations supervisor Matt McGregor told the publication all patients taken to hospital suffered serious injuries.
'The injuries patients sustained include fractures, possible internal injuries and spinal injuries,' he said.
The intersection of Anzac Avenue and Wattle Road was closed for several hours while Forensic Crash Unit officers examined the horror scene.
