Pune: A 24-year-old girl lost Rs 22,500 from her bank account after an unidentified person swapped her SBI debit card at SBI ATM on Dhole Patil Road. 

A case of cheating was lodged by the girl at Koregaon Park police station in the case. 

According to the Koregaon Park police, the victim had to transfer some amount to her friend’s account and had reached the ATM for the same. While the victim was busy with the transaction, a youth offered to help her. 

The incident took place on May 15 and the victim realised that she had been cheated after Rs 22,500 was withdrawn from her account. The victim then realised that her card had been swapped by the youth at the ATM. 

Police Sub-inspector B Shendge is investigating the case.
