Two arrested in Rs 13.5 lakh loot case from Mokama firm

PATNA: Police on Wednesday arrested Dharmaraj Kumar and Subodh Kumar from Alkapuri Colony under Bahadurpur police station area here for involvement in loot of Rs 13.5 lakh from a financial firm under Mokama police station area on May 2 this year. Incidentally, Dharmaraj was an ex-employee of the firm and had left job merely two months back, while Subodh had come out of jail from Sheikhpura district two months back and is an accused in two cases. Police also recovered a Honda Amaze car which was used in the loot, five branded watches suspected to be from purchased from the looted money along with three new i phones. Out of the looted amount, only Rs 7000 was recovered from the arrested persons. Police have also recovered 11 more cellphones and a country-made semi-automatic pistol loaded with five live cartridges from the possession of the arrested accused, said SP (East) Rajendra Kumar Bheel while addressing a press conference on Wednesday.
Mokama police station SHO Raj Nandan said that the money was looted from a micro finance firm located near the Station road after taking its two employees as hostage. "The arrested duo revealed that after looting the money, all the criminals went to Saksohra Bazaar located near Patna-Nalanda border where the amount was distributed. They later fled to Nepal," the SHO said.

No clue in Rs60L loot case: Police are still groping in the dark in connection with the loot of Rs 60 lakh from a rice trader's employee which took place near Kali temple under Alamganj police station area on Monday. The money was looted from one Santosh Kumar when he was going to deposit it in a bank near the temple from the shop located a residential area in Agamkuan area. Six armed criminals on three bikes had intercepted Santosh after which they looted the money on gunpoint. Alamganj police station SHO Chandrashekhar Prasad Gupta said that six suspects have been detained and are being interrogated by police in connection with the incident. "All those detained have criminal antecedents," he said.
Arms, ammunition seized: Police on Wednesday arrested one person and recovered three country-made semi-automatic pistols, two empty magazines, 33 live cartridges and two smart phones from a vacant plot behind private water treatment plant near Sheikho Ka Roza under Khajekala police station area in Patna City.City SP (East) Rajendra Kumar Bheel on Thursday said arrested person was identified as Manauwar Alam, a resident of Nai Sadak under Khajekala PS area.
