Three held for extorting realtor in Jamnagar

Rajkot: Three persons including a woman were arrested on Friday for allegedly extorting Rs 20,000 from a realtor by threatening to frame him in a false rape case in Pushpa Park locality of Jamnagar on Wednesday night.
The main accused Ankita Maru (24) befriended Sahil Baloch over phone. She said she wanted to buy a property and invited Baloch to her house in Pushpa Park on Wednesday night.

“When Baloch reached Maru’s home, she raised a cry and accused Baloch of rape attempt and molestation. She then called up Gogan Bandhia (30), Vishwarajsinh Jadeja (25) and Nisha, who identified themselves as cops. The accused then beat up Baloch and kidnapped him in an SUV. They then robbed Baloch of Rs 20,000 cash and his cellphone,” said V A Ahir, sub-inspector with Jamnagar A division police station.
After this, Baloch lodged a complaint against the accused, following which the police swung into action and arrested Maru, Bandhia and Jadeja. However, Nisha, who had identified herself as a lady police constable, is absconding.
