A traffic warden trying to snare illegally-parked drivers drove the wrong way down a one-way street when she was confronted by members of the public.
Conwy Council say they are now investigating the Highway Code breach, adding that they expect their staff to "lead by example."
Pictures and video footage were taken by a reader, who saw the local authority vehicle parked on Princess Road off Abergele Road in Old Colwyn earlier this week. The car was facing the wrong way.
The eagle-eyed snapper said: "The traffic warden parked up the wrong way down a one way street and seemed to have got out to start booking people parked at the bus stop.
"When her own bad parking was pointed out to her, she left, driving down the one way street in the wrong direction."
A Conwy Council spokeswoman said: "We have a responsibility to keep the roads and footpaths in the county safe to use, and as such we expect our staff to lead by example.
"We are investigating the incident shown in the photograph."
