Youth held with revolver wanted by Hyderabad, Mumbai cops for hacking bank accounts

THANE: A 32-year-old man, Ramesh Kavaria, arrested by the Thane crime branch allegedly for possessing a country-made revolver turned out to be an accused of the bank account hacking syndicate and has been wanted by the Hyderabad police and Mumbai police for collectively siphoning Rs 23 lakh.

The police said that acting on a tip to the constable Laxman Whadlure, on Tuesday, the sleuths laid a trap and arrested Kavaria from Diva-Shil Road in Diva and the search revealed that he was illegally carrying a countrymade revolver worth Rs 10,000.
Anil Honrao, the senior inspector informed, interrogation revealed that he is the part of bank hacking racket and two offences-- one at Vanrai Police station of Mumbai and another at Cyber Police Station of Hyderabad of Telangana and he was at large after the offence was registered. The police suspect he is part of big gang operating in various states. An offence under sections 3,25(A)(1) of the Arms Act and also section 37 (1)/135 of BP Act has been registered against him with the Mumbra police station, the police added.
