Jain body’s city chapter to give Rs3.8L to Pulwama martyrs’ kin

Ludhiana: Jain International Trade Organisation (Jito), Ludhiana chapter, in a unique initiative is going to donate Rs3.8 lakh each to the families of nine martyrs from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab, who sacrificed their lives in the Pulwama terror attack. The association is going to organise a special function to honour the families of the martyrs on June 2 in Ludhiana.
Jito chairman Bhushan Jain said: “On June 2, we are organising a function at Jain Sthanak on Cemetry Road to honour the families of martyrs who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack. Jito has always been on the front to contribute to society whenever a need arises, and one such tragedy that shook the country was the deadly Pulwama attack on our soldiers. Though no amount is sufficent to pay back the services of our soldiers who sacrifice their lives for our protection, Jito has put in a lot of efforts and managed to collect an amount of Rs3.2 crore to be given to the families of soldiers who lost their lives in the attack.”
According to Jito chief secretary Rajeev Jain: “Our chapter has been given the responsibility of donating Rs3.8 lakh to each family of soldiers from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab. DIG of CRPF, Darshan Lal Gola, has given his consent to grace the occasion when we honour the families of the martyrs on June 2.

Jito secretary Rakesh Jain added: “We are also organising a patriotic cultural event on the occasion, and expect the participation of more and more members in large numbers to boost the morale of our security forces and pay our homage to soldiers who laid down their lives.”
Others present on the occasion included Komal Jain Duke, Ramesh Jain, Tarun Jain, Amit Jain, Sonia Jain, Kanchan Jain, Karuna Oswal, Manish Jain, Sahil Jain, Ramyak Jain, Rachit Jain, Nikhil Jain, and other executive members of Jito.
