The Marina police on Wednesday seized 11 motorcycles from youth who took to illegal bike racing on Kamarajar Salai.

While Mylapore DC, ACP and other police personnel were on night rounds, they spotted a few youth driving two-wheelers in a rash manner on Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai and Kamarajar Salai.

Immediately, on the instructions of DC N.M. Mayilvahanan, the police personnel rounded up all the racers. Apart from racing, the police said they were into impromptu stunts and wheelies, posing risks to other motorists and road users as well. The youth were booked, fined and released.
