Airline employee among 2 kill self

Nagpur: Manthan Chauhan, 19, working as a trainee with an airline, ended his life at his Chandramani Nagar residence on Thursday by hanging from the ceiling fan. In another incident, 13-year-old Aarti Pawar too committed suicide by consuming poison at her residence at Shesh Nagar.
It’s learnt that Manthan, who was not well for the past one week, was being pressurized to rejoin work. His mother, posted with city police, too was on leave to look after him. Family sources claimed that there was no suicide note left behind by him. However, a call recording between him and one of his seniors, revealed that he was under stress as pressure was being mounted upon him to rejoin work despite his ill health.
A case of accidental death is registered at Ajni police station.
In other incident, Aarti consumed poison on May 20 at her residence for unknown reasons. She was declared dead on May 29 at GMCH where she was under treatment. A case of accidental death was registered at Hingna police station.
