UP: Suspected of illicit affair, man hanged from tree

AGRA: Suspecting an illicit affair with a married woman, a 26-year-old married man was allegedly killed and his body was hanged from a tree in Mainpuri’s Holupura area. They both belonged to the same village.
According to police, the deceased, Durvesh Yadav, had gone to meet someone on Wednesday evening and had told his family members that he would return late at night or the next morning. When Yadav did not return, his family started searching for him on Thursday.
Meanwhile, some passers-by found his body hanging from a tree at the border of neighbouring village Madhupura and informed the police. The body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigations are on.
Police said that Durvesh’s family members have alleged that one Pramod had borrowed Rs 50K from him. He killed Durvesh, because he failed to return the amount.

However, preliminary investigations by the police indicate that the deceased had an illicit affair with Pramod’s wife and both the families had heated arguments over the issue several times.
Station house officer of Oncha police station Ramakar Yadav said that Durvesh’s family members have filed a complaint against seven persons, including Pramod from the same village. An FIR has been registered under section 302 (murder) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC.
