Hyderabad: Teen returns from vacation, sees dad’s decaying body

HYDERABAD: A 17-year-old boy returned home after a vacation only to find his father’s decomposing body, in Nacharam on Tuesday night.
Ranjeeth went to Bhuvanagiri town to his relative’s house along with his mother and siblings three days ago. His father Sanjeeva Reddy, a centring worker, stayed back at their Veera Reddy Colony residence.
Ranjeeth came back home on Tuesday evening and knocked the door. “When no one answered, he thought his father was still at work and went to his friend’s house. He came back again at 9pm,” said Nacharam SI Venkat Reddy. When there was no response, Ranjeeth jumped the wall and gained entry through the backside door, which was kept open. “When he switched on the lights, he found his father’s decomposed body and alerted us,” the SI said. A suspicious death case was filed. “We are yet to ascertain the cause of death. There was blood on Sanjeeva’s mouth. We will get clarity once we get the autopsy report,” he said.
