Operation of trains between Lucknow-Varanasi to improve

LUCKNOW: Running of trains on Lucknow-Varanasi rail route will improve with electric engines running on it.
On Thursday, the newly electrified double line rail section between Utrethia and Shriraj Nagar in Lucknow division of Northern Railways was accorded sanction for operation of electric engine driven trains at a maximum speed of 110kmph.
The Lucknow-Varanasi route via Bachhrawan, Raebareli, Gauriganj, Amethi, Pratapgarh and Janghai is electrified now. CRS, northern circle conducted the inspection and speed trial on the newly electrified section between Utrethia (Lucknow) and Shriraj Nagar (Raebareli) and granted sanction.
