3 thefts reported in Chandigarh in a day

CHANDIGARH: Police here have registered three theft cases against unidentified persons in the city.
In the first case, Akshit Bajaj, a resident of Sector 43 reported that he had gone to CLTA, Sector 10 and parked his car there. When he returned, he found the window of the car broken and three mobile phones and a wrist watch were missing from the car. Cops from Sector 3 police station reached the spot and recorded the victim’s statement. Police registered a case of theft against unknown person and started probe.
In the second incident, Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Sector 22 reported that unknown persons broke open the locks of his liquor vend in Dhanas and stole Rs 60,000 on the intervening night of May 26/27. Complainant added that when he came to open the vend on Tuesday morning he found the lock of the shutter was broken and the vend was ransacked.
He further checked the drawer and found Rs 60,000 were missing from it. He immediately dialled up the cops and informed them about the incident. Cops from Sangrur police station reached the spot along with the forensic team. Police collected evidences from the crime scene and recorder Kumar’s statement. A case of theft was registered against unknown persons.

In the third incident, complainant Baljit Singh, a resident of Dera Sahib, Manimajra said an unknown person stole his I-phone XS, four Samsung phones, cash and RC of his car on Friday night.
After verifying the facts, cops registered a case under section 380 of the Indian Penal Code against unknown persons and started probe On May 26, burglars broke into two houses and decamped with Rs 35,000, 20 silver coins and wrist watches in sectors 34 and 37. Both cases still remain unsolved.
