Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index down; CG Power slips 2%

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.93 per cent down at 19,936.32 around 12:19 pm.

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Suzlon Energy (down 2.53 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 2.37 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 2.33 per cent) and Schaeffler India (down 2.13 per cent) were trading lower.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.72 per cent), GE T&D India (down 1.58 per cent), Lakshmi Machine Works (down 1.51 per cent) and BEML (down 1.44 per cent) too were among the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.93 per cent down at 19,936.32 around 12:19 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 25.95 points at 11,902.80 while the BSE Sensex was down 90.83 points at 39,658.90.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of Spicejet, PC Jeweller, Adani Power, Equitas Holdings, PNB, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Rail Vikas Nigam and DHFL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
