  • Supermarket giant is offering a full refund on Coles Mobile USB Wall Chargers 
  • Sold nationwide in Coles Supermarkets, Coles Express and Coles Online
  • The impacted chargers were sold in stores and online from July 2017 onwards

Coles have urgently recalled a popular phone charger over fears it could give customers an electric shock.

The supermarket giant is offering a full refund on the Coles Mobile USB Wall Chargers.

Anybody who purchased one of the products from July 2017 onwards has been encouraged to return it to stores immediately.

They were sold nationwide in Coles Supermarkets, Coles Express and Coles Online. 

Further testing indicated two parts of the charger could separate and expose live parts.

As a result of the findings, the charger has been deemed unsafe and could shock consumers with the live parts.

Coles apologised to customers for any inconvenience.
