Powersliding A LaFerrari Aperta Like This Takes Balls Of Steel

The owner of this black LaFerrari Aperta is clearly quite well-versed when it comes to powersliding his hybrid hypercar. In fact, there probably aren’t many people outside of the Ferrari factory who are so comfortable driving the LaFerrari at the limits of adhesion.

The driver in question goes by the name of powerslidelover on Instagram and has become quite familiar to many car enthusiasts in recent years. The driving fanatic owns an impressive array of exotics and is not afraid to push them to their limits, regardless of how valuable they are.

In his latest driving ‘adventure’, powerslidelover found himself cruising down a flowing road directly behind a black Porsche Carrera GT and with a Singer 911 behind him. Not satisfied with simply keeping up with the Carrera GT, the LaFerrari owner decided to powerslide his way out of most corners, putting on a smoky display for the Singer – and all of his Instagram fans.

Onboard footage shows its owner performing perfectl -controlled third-gear powerslides at well over 100 km/h (62 mph), highlighting how controllable the LaFerrari can be despite its massive output. Taking the car to those limits, however, takes not only a finely set-up chassis and great driving skills, but balls of steel too.

The LaFerrari Aperta is limited to just 210 examples worldwide and is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V12 paired to an electric motor that deliver a combined 950 hp. Only Ferrari’s most valued clients were given the opportunity to order one, and used examples are worth well in excess of $5 million.
