State govt promotes 2 officials as PCCFs

Nagpur: In a minor reshuffle, the state government on Tuesday filled up two vacant posts of principal chief conservator of forests (PCCF) by promoting two APCCFs.
MK Rao, APCCF (wildlife), west region, has been promoted as PCCF (information & technology). He will take over from Praveen Srivastava, who will be PCCF (production & management).
APCCF Jeet Singh with research wing, Pune, has been posted as member-secretary of Maharashtra State Biodiversity Board (MSBB). Similarly, Vikas Gupta (CAMPA) will take over as APCCF (administration) from AR Mande who retires on June 30.
In a surprise move, CCF (planning & management) AS Kalaskar, who joined the PCCF wildlife office three months ago has been shunted out to Dhule. The post has been downgraded to DyCF with Ginni Singh taking over.
The department is facing a shortage of CCFs and hence, the post of the Yavatmal Circle, headed by a CCF, has been downgraded to CF. Ravi Wankhede, Pune, will take over Yavatmal. DyCF Ramesh Kumar will replace Wankhede.
JP Tripathi, who was regional manager with FDCM, Nagpur, has been shifted to the Kundal forest academy. He will take over on August 1, after MM Kulkarni retires on July 31.

Interestingly, several vacant posts have been put under additional charge as no officials must be due for promotion as APCCFs and CCFs.
Apart from posting at biodiversity board, Nagpur, Jeet Singh will also double up as APCCF, Pune, nodal officer Sanjeev Gaur will also look after CAMPA. Chandrapur CCF SV Ramarao will look after Gadchiroli too as present incumbent WI Yatbon will leave on deputation.
