Shocking video has been released showing the moment a teenager at a pedestrian crosswalk is hit by a van which allegedly ran a red light.
The 18-year-old boy, who was walking home from work, was allegedly hit on the Hume Highway in Sydney on Wednesday.
The boy has been rushed to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition and is fighting for his life.

In the footage, the young man can be seen waiting at the crosswalk for a green signal and, as other cars stop for a red light, the boy walks across the road but is struck by the van.
The force of the impact throws the man 30 metres and into the path of traffic on the other side of the road.
Other drivers rushed to give first aid to the man until paramedics arrived minutes later.
The 61-year-old female driver of the van has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, and failing to stop at a red light.
Her license has also been suspended.
'This is a life changing event for this particular driver and no doubt the family of this young man that's been injured,' chief inspector Phillip Brooks from NSW Police told reporters.
'It appears that this is a case of driver error,' he said.
Locals have used the incident to highlight the need for more safety measures along the Hume Highway.
'It's going to take an accident or someone to die before they put speed cameras out here, ' local resident Joanne Williams told 7 News.
