The government will consider revising power tariff after consulting officials, said Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy here on Monday.

Talking to reporters after paying homage to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary, the Chief Minister said the file increasing the tariff has not come to his office due to the model code of conduct.

Asked whether he would be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said he would certainly attend if he was invited.

The Prime Minister in his address at NDA meeting, a few days ago had promised to take everyone together. The statement should be appreciated, he said. Mr. Narayanasamy said he hoped the Prime Minister would look into the demands made by the Union Territory.
