RAJKOT: A leopard attacked a farmer in Baloj village of Kutiyana taluka in Porbandar district on Sunday evening.
The victim, Naresh Jogal (32), suffered injuries from the leopard’s claws on his back. He was taken first to Kutiyana primary health centre and from there he was shifted to Junagadh Civil Hospital.
“The people of Baloj village claim that it is for the first time that a leopard has been spotted in their village. We have set up cages with live baits in them at different places around the village and are hopeful of caging the big cat soon,” said a forester.
