Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index down; Suzlon Energy slips 3%

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1 per cent down at 20,074.96 around 12:34 pm.

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Elgi Equipments (up 4.89 per cent) , SKF India (up 2.04 per cent) , Carborundum Universal (up 1.60 per cent) and Schaeffler India (up 1.52 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Suzlon Energy (down 3.13 per cent) , Dilip Buildcon (down 3.13 per cent) , GE T&D India (down 3.09 per cent) and Kalpataru Power Transmissions (down 2.85 per cent) were trading with losses.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1 per cent down at 20,074.96 around 12:34 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 14.25 points at 11,910.50 while the BSE Sensex was down 41.66 points at 39,641.63.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Spicejet, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Karur Vysya Bank, DHFL, Rail Vikas Nigam, Adani Power, Suzlon Energy, PC Jeweller and PNB were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
