Man promised job, cheated of Rs 1.7 lakh

Greater Noida: A 39-year old man has alleged that a company named Grow Naukri has been cheating him on the pretext of better job opportunities since October 2018.
The complainant, Uttam Sharma, a resident of Noida Extension, is employed as a software engineer at HCL technologies in Noida. He claims to have paid Rs 1.75 lakh for a job change.
However, it never occurred while the company and its officials fled after shutting down the company office in Sector 121, Noida.
“The firm’s callers kept taking money in the name of document verification and said that it will be refundable, however, the money was never sent back,” Uttam stated. Pankaj Pathak, SHO Bisrakh told TOI that the complaint was received by cyber police and was later converted into an FIR on Monday, “The unidentified accused have been booked under sections 420 (Cheating) and 406 (Criminal Breach of Trust) of the IPC, arrests will be made soon,” said Pathak.
