General manager of North Central Railways awards 20 employees

ALLAHABAD: General Manager of North Central Railways, Rajiv Chaudhry on Tuesday felicitated and awarded 20 railway staff who had given an outstanding contribution to safety in train operations in the last three months.
The awarded employees work as loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, point men and track maintainers.
While addressing the gathering, Chaudhry praised the winners for their commitment to safety and their exceptional alertness because of which potential mishaps had been averted. He stressed and underscored that safety was underlying philosophy-the keystone-of all operations on Indian Railways and NCR, informed chief public relation officer (CPRO) of NCR, Ajeet Kumar Singh.
The GM further informed that one safety app is also being developed which will be used to give real-time safety related info.

He further said that the way to ensure safety was to be well conversant with the rules and regulations governing train operations and to desist from adopting shortcuts in the same. He also discussed various issues related to safety, strengthening infrastructure and improving mobility in train operations during his address, said Singh.
The staff were felicitated and awarded in the presence of S K Kashyap, the chief safety officer of NCR and other senior officers.
