German 'gau rakshak' gets Sushma Swaraj's help

AGRA: Taking cognizance of the TOI report 'Denying visa extension, German Padma Shri awardee threatens to return award' that appeared on Sunday's columns, External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, has sought a report from the MEA.
The minister in a tweet to TOI said, "Thanks for bringing this to my notice. I have asked for a report."
When contacted, Friederike Irina Bruning was thankful to the Time of India for raising her issue. "I have received several messages from my friends regarding the outgoing external affairs minister's tweet on TOI report, but no official communication has been received by me so far," she said. Bruning, 61, expressed hope that she would now get an extension for her stay in India.
