Samsung launched the Galaxy A50 smartphone in India by the end of February. Now, just three months after the launch, the Korean tech giant has slashed the price of the handset by Rs 1,500 in the country. The Galaxy A50 was originally launched in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, which were priced at Rs 19,990 and Rs 22,990 respectively. Now, these variants are available for Rs 18,490 and 21,490 respectively from Amazon, Flipkart, and the brand’s official e-store.

For the uninitiated, the Samsung Galaxy A50 sports an all-screen front with an Infinity-U notch above. The phone features an in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple camera setup at the rear placed vertically. The handset offers a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, and boots Android 9 Pie out of the box with the brand’s OneUI. The device has 64GB of native storage, which can be further expanded up to 512GB by inserting a microSD card. Powering the phone is Samsung’s Exynos 9610 octa-core processor.

In the imaging department, the Galaxy A50 offers a 25MP f/1.7 primary camera at the rear, accompanied by a 5MP f/2.2 secondary snapper and an 8MP f/2.2 third sensor. The handset is capable of recording full-HD videos at 30 frames per second. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 25MP shooter. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS. A 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support completes the list of the specifications.
