UP: Lucknow-based businessman killed, one injured on Agra-Lucknow Expressway

AGRA: A Lucknow-based businessman was killed and his friend was gravely injured in a road accident on Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
The accident occurred at around 8am on Monday near milestone 69 close to Nagla Taal village of Nagla Khangar police jurisdiction of Firozabad district.
The victim was identified as Nitin Gupta (45), resident of Sundar Bagh area. Gupta owned a bicycle store on Hewett Road in Lucknow. His friend Anoop Tandon (48) who was driving the new SUV was referred to Delhi for medical assistance along with his relatives.
According to police, the two businessmen were returning to Lucknow in their SUV after visiting Vrindavan temple in Mathura. “The victim’s car rammed into divider and went across the opposite lane. In the accident, Nitin Gupta was killed on spot, while Anoop Tandon was gravely injured,” said a local cop.

Nitin is survived by two son age 20 and 16.
Earlier on Sunday morning, a Kanpur-based family returning from Kedarnath in car met a road accident, in which two persons were killed and four were injured on Agra-Lucknow Expressway under Nasirpur police jurisdiction.
