Burglars decamp with liquor bottles, cash

Mandya: Miscreants broke into a liquor shop and a provision store and made away with liquor bottles and cigarette packs in Bharatinagar of Maddur taluk late on Friday night.
The burglars also made failed attempts to break open the shutters of atleast three more shops on Maddur-Mandya Road, police said.
They decamped with liquor bottles and Rs 20,000 cash from Balaji Wine Store and cigarette packs worth Rs 8,000 and Rs 4,000 cash from Shambhulinge Gowda provision store.

The incident came to light when the shop owners opened their establishments on Saturday morning. They immediately informed KM Doddi police who rushed to the spot along with forensic experts and collected evidences.
Police said they have recovered the video footages from the wine store to trace the miscreants.
