Cops recover three bodies in Kolkata, suburb

KOLKATA: Police found the decomposed body of a 65-year-old man, Susanta Gupta, on Sunday after breaking open the locked door of his room on the ground floor of a building at 62, G C Avenue. No suicide note was found with the body and cops said the post-mortem report will ascertain the cause of death. Cops raided the building after locals alerted them of a foul smell emanating from the house.
In another incident, a 38-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree on School Road in the early hours of Sunday. Cops identified him as Jay Gopal Sarkar, a resident of Shyamaprasad Pally, Regent Park. He was rushed to M R Bangur Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
In Barasat, a 62-year-old spinster's decomposed body was found from the top floor of a four-storey building. She was identified as Sukanya Sengupta. Cops have ruled out any foul play.
