The Telangana Revenue Employees Services Association has represented to the State government to return all the Tahsildars who have been shifted to work in other districts for the conduct of Assembly and Parliamentary elections to their original work places.
Association leaders V.Ravinder Reddy and M.Narayan Reddy, in a representation to the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration and Special Chief Secretary, Revenue, said that the Tahsiladars were posted to work as Assistant Election Returning Officers as per the guidelines of the Election Commission for Assembly elections-2018 and Parliament elections-2019. Some Tahsildars had been posted far away from their original working places. For instance, those working in Siddipet were drafted for election work in Gadwal, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy districts. Similarly Karimnagar district Tahsildars were deputed to Nirmal, Khammam districts etc. These officers had been working without shifting their families and school going children and been facing inconvenience and health problems.
Now that the election work has been completed successfully, the association requested the government to send the tahsildars back to their original work places before commencement of summary revision work.
