Amid reports of the AIADMK angling for a slot in the Union Ministry, party coordinator-Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and co-coordinator-Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Saturday took part in a meeting of leaders and newly-elected MPs belonging to the National Democratic Alliance in New Delhi.

Mr. Palaniswami was among those who seconded a resolution electing Prime Minister Narendra Modi the leader of the NDA’s parliamentary group. Mr. Panneerselvam, seated next to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, later greeted Mr. Modi.
