HYDERABAD: In a case of double murder, a mother and son who are natives of
Uttar Pradesh, were killed suspectedly by her husband on Sunday at
Sanathnagar. As of now the suspect is missing.
Sanathnagar police said that Urmila, 30, and her son Kishan, 4, were found dead inside their residence.
Urmila died after she was hit by a rod, while
Kishan was killed by making him drown in a bucket, with his body upside down. Police said Urmila’s husband
Rajesh is missing and he is the suspect behind the double murder.
It was around 15 days back, Rajesh’s family moved from UP to Hyderabad and took a house on rent in Sanathnagar. It was on the suggestion of Urmila’s sister, Rajesh’s family came to Hyderabad. Urmila’s sister family has been residing in city from last nine months.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Balanagar Zone) PV Padmaja Reddy said that it was around 1 pm when Urmila’s brother-in-law came to see Rajesh’s family, the door was found to be locked. ``He returned to his house and informed the same thing to Urmila’s sister. Despite making repeated telephone calls, there was no response from Urmila. Suspecting that something is wrong, Urmila’s sister asked her husband to returned to victim’s residence,’’ Padmaja Said.
He forcefully opened the door and inside the house, he found Urmila in pool of blood while Kishan was found inside the bathroom. After police was alerted about the double murder, they reached the scene of offence and started investigation. Police believe that it was on Sunday the murder took place as the bodies were not decomposed.
Urmila’s sister had to suggest Rajesh’s family to move to Hyderabad, since Rajesh used to frequently not report to work in UP, citing ill-health.
``As of now we do not know the motive behind the murder. Once we nab Rajesh, we will get to know the reasons for the murder. As of now Rajesh is absconding and we are on the job to nab him,’’ police said. A case was registered under section 302 (murder) of IPC.
