BHUBANESWAR:
Naveen Patnaik will be sworn in as chief minister of Odisha for the fifth consecutive term on Wednesday at the Idco exhibition ground here. Several industrialists, besides Naveen’s sister, eminent author
Gita Mehta, are likely to attend the ceremony.
Along with Naveen, a 21 member council of ministers would be sworn in. Soon after being elected as leader of BJD legislature party, Naveen met governor Ganeshi Lal on Sunday at Raj Bhavan to stake claim to form the next government.
Though Naveen’s office is tight-lipped about the list of invitees, sources said industry captains having business establishments in Odisha will attend the event. Sources said PM-elect
Narendra Modi has not been invited for the swearing-in yet. Naveen and Modi, though, had congratulated each other after the results were announced.
