Hyderabad: Man cheated 183 customers with fake insurance policy

HYDERABAD: A 33-year-old man from Secunderabad was nabbed by the Task Force team of Hyderabad police for making fake and forged Insurance policy documents and selling to customers as genuine. A total of 183 customers were cheated.
The accused was identified as Gudimala Sreekanth, a resident of Anand Nagar, Bowenpally.
The accused, Sreekanth would introduce himself as authorised agent of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co.Ltd, Khairatabad branch to customers. He claimed to arrange Motor vehicle insurance policy documents through Bajaj Allianz at the lowest commission and would show his identity Card, few insurance copies of Bajaj Allianz.

The victims, believing him, gave invoices to him along with Policy premium amount. Later, he provided Policy documents. So far, he has collected about 183 invoices of customers along with the premium amount, in which delivered 129 fake and forged Policy documents in the name of Bajaj Allianz as genuine.
According to cops, the accused had earlier worked as a Territory Manager(TM) in Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company at ECIL, Hyderabad, therefore knows the Vehicle Insurance Policy system. Police have seized the fake documents along with net cash Rs 44,000 from his possession.
