\'You are the embodiment of evil\': Judge sentences Jake Patterson to 2 life sentences plus 40 years

The man responsible for kidnapping jayme closs and killing her parents last october..

Learns his fate in a barron county courtroom.

Jacob patterson will never be a free man again..

Dannika lewis joins us now with more details on today's sentencing.

And that's exactly what jayme's family members asked for today during their testimony... that this man never be allowed into society again.

Barron county judge james babler went as far as to describe patterson as "the embodiment of evil"... he then sentenced patterson to two life sentences with no chance of parole for the homicides of james and denise closs last october.

He will also serve another 40 years for kidnapping jayme for nearly 3 months.

She escaped from the douglas county cabin where she was being held captive in january.

Jayme wasn't in court today -- but her attorney read a statement on her behalf.

For 88 days he tried to steal me and he didn't care who he hurt or who he killed to do that.

The patterson would never stop trying to find and possibly kill jayme... if he ever got out of prison... but he won't.

As for patterson..

He made a brief, emotional statement of apology.

His attorney added his client pleaded guilty to spare the community of a long, painful trial... and to allow the closs family, the chance to heal.
