A Delhi Police patrolling motorcycle ‘leopard’ was allegedly stolen from Preet Vihar on Friday. However, it was recovered within a few hours from Noida, said the Noida police.
The Police said that a PCR van of Noida police spotted the patrolling motorcycle with blinkers and siren on in Sector 126. The motorcycle was driven by a man who was not in uniform. “The officers got suspicious and tried to stop the rider. But, the driver tried to flee. He was nabbed and was taken to Expressway police station,” said a police officer.
The officer added that the accused has been identified as Mandeep Kuamr, a Delhi resident. He disclosed that he found the motorcycle unlocked and took it for a joy ride.
