This year, the pass percentage in the class 12 Science exam dropped by a percent to 72.99. The girls have outperformed again with a pass percentage of 72.01, while that of boys is 71.83 per cent.
Girls outshone boys in SSC 2018
Ahead with 72.69 pass percent against 63.73 percentage scored by boys, girls once again outshone boys in the secondary examinations. Though both recorded a slight decline of nearly one per cent in the pass percentage as compared to previous year, the gap was maintained at 8.96 per cent. Similar trend was witnessed among private and external candidates as boys recorded a pass percentage of 5.13 per cent, girls doubled it to 11.70 per cent.

Highest scorers
Increasing from 3750 candidates in 2017, as many as 6378 scored the highest grade of A1 (99 to 100 marks). This is been witnessing an increase in last three years as 3115 candidates scored in this bracket in the year 2016.

Shockingly, Sukhsar in Dahod district that recorded a pass percentage of 71.94 per cent dropped to merely 5.93 per cent this year. Thus, recording as the centre with the lowest result,a drastic decline of 66 per cent in a single year.
Khorasa in Junagadh district recorded the highest of 96.93 per cent result.

Despite claims of lower copying cases due to CCTV, these increased
From 1007 copying cases detected by CCTV cameras in 2016, these increased to 1198 in 2017 which further increased to 1231, this year. Another 105 copying cases were detected during examinations physically. Result of another 682 candidates was held back due to copying and other reasons. Thus, results of a total 2018 candidates have been held back.

Girls this year have outperformed boys with better pass percentage. Topper Savani Hil Ishwarbhai holds 99 per cent. Overall, the pass percentage is really low this time.

Students can now check their respective scores at the official website, gseb.org.in. If they are unable to open the same, they may also check the result at other private websites such as examresults.net, indiaresults.com. Students will be able to obtain their mark sheets between from 11 am to 2 pm at respective district examination centres today itself.
6,973 involved in unfair practices
This time, a total number of 11,03,854 students had appeared for the Class 10 SSC exams, out of which 6,973 were found to be involved in unfsir practices.

In a notice issued on May 15, the GSEB said that the result of class 10 and Sanskrit Pratham will be announced on gseb.org on May 21 from 8am. Result sheet will be available at schools from 11am to 4pm. All principals are requested to collect marksheets from concerned authorities. The Gujarat board SSC exam 2019 was conducted in March.
GSEB Class 10th results 2019 declared, 66.97% pass
66.97% students have passed the Gujarat board Class 10 examination. Last year the pass percentage was 67.50%. This year, out of the 828944 students who had registered for the exam, 822823 took the exam. Out of them 551023 students passed the exam.
GSEB 10th result: Subject-wise pass percentage
The pass percentage of Gujarati medium is 64.58 per cent while for the Hindi medium is 72.66 per cent. However, the highest pass percentage among subjects if for Telugu with 88.64 per cent while it 88.11 per cent for English.

A total of over 11 lakh students appeared for the class 10 exams including 8,22,823 regular students, 2,52,736 repeaters and 24,955 private students. The pass percetange of repeaters is 17.23 and private students 10.13 per cent.
GSEB results: Gujarati medium students performed worst in all nine mediums
Though a wide gap in the number of students who appeared in Gujarati and English mediums, the Gujarati medium students performed worst in all nine mediums. With the lowest pass percentage of 64.58 per cent against their counterparts in English medium who recorded a pass percentage of 88.11. Against 7,23,895 students who appeared in Gujarati medium, 74,545 appeared in English medium, this year.

GSEB HSC qualifying marks
To qualify in a subject, a candidate must obtain a minimum of grade ‘D’ To be eligible for higher Secondary Certificate, a candidate must obtain minimum of grade ‘D’ in all subjects. Those candidates who have obtained grade ‘E1’ or ‘E2’ in the subjects of External Examination shall have to improve their performance through subsequent attempts and qualify.
Gujarat Board results of medical and non-medical streams
In 2016, among both the medical and non-medical streams, the pass percentage of the non-medical stream had recorded 89.94 per cent which was higher than 80.96 per cent for the medical students.
Gujarat Board exams and results
The GSEB is responsible for conducting Class 10 and 12 exams in the state. Every year, 2 (including 4-semester type examinations) main examinations are held – the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam for standard 10 and the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (HSC) examination for students of Class 11 and 12 in Gujarat. GSEB 12th results: 4,000 cheating cases reported in 2015
In 2015, over 4,000 cheating incidents detected. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has detected a total of 4,316 cases in its Class 10 and 12 examinations. The control room at the Board office and the investigation squad that visited the examination centres had reported a total of 1,276 cases of copying and cheating. The other 3,040 incidents have been caught on CCTV cameras and tablets installed inside the classrooms.
