Moving car burns up in Mohali

No casualty reported, cause of fire yet to be ascertained
MOHALI: Two Patiala residents had a narrow escape when a fire broke out in their Mahindra Logan car at airport road in Mohali. The victim jumped outside from the moving car in order to save themselves.
According to the police, the victims have been identified as Ravinder Singh and Rajinder Singh, both residents of Patiala. They were going to Chandigarh International Airport when they spotted a fire in the car’s engine and immediately jumped out from the moving car.

Later, a fire tender and a team of Mohali police arrived at the spot and controlled the situation. The car was badly damaged in the incident. The exact reason of fire is yet to be ascertained. However, the cops and fire officials are suspecting short circuit to be the reason behind the incident.
On April 22, a car driven by a senior citizen, was burnt to a crisp at Sector 7-8 roundabout. The driver and the passenger managed to save their lives by jumping out of the car.
