Noida to kick off projects held due to model code of conduct

NOIDA: With the model code of conduct (MCC) technically over, projects that have been on hold for almost two months are set to take off.
“Model code of conduct is technically over with the end of elections, but we can wait till May 30. All pending work will now resume which includes authority and district administration work,” said BN Singh, district magistrate Gautam Buddha Nagar.

In GB Nagar some of the projects which were held up include the Rs 55.28 crore, 780 metre underpass at one of the busiest intersection of sectors 71-72 and sectors 51-52. The detailed project report (DPR) of the underpass at the crossing of Sectors 71-72 and Sector 51/52 for tendering purpose has been prepared by Noida Authority. The said underpass will benefit commuters travelling from Noida’s City Centre to Greater Noida west while those travelling from Sector 62 towards Dadri road will avail a signal-free stretch above the underpass.
In addition to this other projects include, a 5.5 km six lane elevated road on DSC Marg between sector 41 and 82 up to SEZ in Noida will be built at a cost of Rs 460 crore, the Rs 65 crore Hindon Bridge which will connect sectors 146/147 on the Noida Expressway to Knowledge Park 3 in Greater Noida and a Rs 53.5 crore road resurfacing work near Pari Chowk and from Kasna to Sirsa rotary in Greater Noida.
