Residents demand last mile metro connectivity in remote sectors

NOIDA: A meeting of RWA federation was held on Friday with Sandhya Sharma, deputy general manager (Operation) and Rajan Prakash deputy general manager (Finance) of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) demanding feeder buses and e-rickshaws for sectors hitherto not covered. Some of these sectors include 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 61, 53 and more.
During the discussion, it was emphasized that feeder buses and e-rickshaws should be provided to the residents of these sectors so that they can avail the metro rail services especially, from Noida to Greater Noida comfortably.
“We will be providing a list to NMRC officials indicating sectors from which feeder buses and e-rickshaws to be started immediately. Ms Sharma has assured that routes of feeder buses and e-rickshaws will be finalized soon to facilitate residents’ request,” said KK Jain, senior vice president Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA).

Apart from the shortlisted sectors mentioned above, the RWA federation has also asked residents from other sectors to intimate areas/sectors which further require feeder buses and e-rickshaw facilities so that these too could be included in the route.
Others present in the meeting include NP Singh president, AN Dhawan secretary general, Main Pal Singh vice president, Ravi Gupta and other office bearers of FONRWA.
