Police are attending an "ongoing incident" on the A483 at Wrexham.
Both sides of the carriageway between J7 Rossett and J6 Gresford are closed as a result.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.

Warning to anyone travelling to Chester Races
The racecourse has issued this tweet - be aware that both sides of the carriageway are closed. If you are planning on going to the Races the best diversion routes are either through Marford and Pulford or through Dobshill and on to the A55 to Chester. It’[s advisable to set off earlier than planned to give yourself plenty of time.
Road remains closed
The incident is still ongoing and the road remains shut in both directions between Gresford and Rossett.
Slip road at Gresford also closed
The slip road on to the A483 is also closed as well as both sides of the main carriageway.
Reports of man on bridge
We understand that the incident involves a man on a bridge which crosses over the A483. Police are speaking to the man at the moment.
Diversion route busy
It looks like most drivers are cutting through Marford along Marford Hill to try and avoid the A483 closure. However that route is now looking very busy as a result.
Paramedics called to incident
We are hearing that at least one ambulance is also at the scene.
Both sides of A483 closed
Motorists are now reporting that it appears both northbound and southbound carriageways are closed.
Traffic Wales officers also attending
Traffic officers are also at the scene of the incident along with police.
Traffic at a standstill
Traffic is at a standstill as police hold all vehicles. Officers are urging motorists to avoid the area if at all possible.
Southbound carriageway closed
Police say that they have had to close the southbound carriageway from J7 to J6 due to the ongoing incident.
