Eight hurt as bus topples over

Hubballi: Eight people were injured when a NWKRTC bus overturned at Belavatagi in Navalgund taluk on Saturday. The bus was carrying about 15 passengers from Nargund to Gadag via Navalgund. All the injured are admitted in Navalgund Taluk Hospital, where sources said only two passengers have received severe injuries and are out of danger.
Navalgund police said the mishap occurred when the bus driver tried to avert a collision with a lorry coming from the opposite side. “As he lost control on the bus, it over turned and fell in to the fields,” they said.
