The Kamothe police are on the look out for Krishna Mhatre and his brother Pandurang for attempting to kill his wife and her lover on Thursday evening.

The incident occured at Manasarover railway station where Kavita Mhatre (27) and her lover Nitesh Shedge (28) had gone to board a train to Mumbai. While Mr. Shedge was stabbed by Kavita’s husband Krishna while parking his bike but managed to run and hide.

Meanwhile, Kavita, who was attacked at the ticket counter, escaped by hailing an autorickshaw.

“Both are undergoing treatment at M.G.M. Hospital and we are looking out for the accused. Kavita had abandoned her husband and kids and was staying with Mr. Shedge who is also married,” a police officer from Kamothe said.
