KMV organises cooking competition

Jalandhar, May 25, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Jalandhar's department of Home Science organized a cooking competition without fire for the students of 10+1 and 10+2. During the competition, the students came up with several innovative dishes which were prepared without the usage of fire. Along with the competiton, the students also held a Food Stall in which the students exhibited and sold various healthy snacks like Diet namkeen, Seed mix, Moringa tea, Green tea, Amla candy and homemade muesli etc. A quiz was also organized for the collegiate students in which the participants were given the task to identify cereals, pulses and condiments.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the participants and averred that such activities & competitions provide an apt platform for refining ideas and thoughts as these types of activities also infused a spirit of healthy competition among the students. She maintained the KMV being the pioneer seat of women empowerment has contributed colossally to the noble cause of women education and emancipation for over 134 years now. Such activities sensitize all especially the youth regarding healthy eating habits & to practice healthy lifestyle.
