Mohan Joshi congratulates Girish Bapat on his victory

PUNE: A day after the election results were out, Mohan Joshi of Congress, who lost the Pune Lok Sabha seat to Girish Bapat of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) congratulated the latter on his success in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

He also asserted that he will keep working hard to strengthen the Congress party in Pune. 

Joshi lost to Bapat by a huge margin of over 2.8 lakh votes. 

“I congratulate MP Girish Bapat with all my heart, and extend my best wishes to him for his journey ahead,” said Joshi in a statement released by him.

He also expressed his gratitude towards the party officials, activists and well-wishers for working hard during the election campaign.

He added, “I will continue my struggle and ensure that the developmental work in the city continues. At the same time, I will always be open to take up the problems of Punekars.”
