The specs show that the card will belong to a the mid-range segment and may not go against the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080. The AMD Navi RX 3080 is said to feature 2,560 stream processors and 8GB of VRAM on a 256-bit bus. This suggests that the component could take on NVIDIA RTX 2070 instead. The Navi based AMD GPUs will reportedly launch in the third quarter of 2019.

The news comes a few days after a report said that NVIDIA is gearing up to refresh their RTX cards with more memory to combat the upcoming AMD’s Navi GPUs. A previous report said that the NVIDIA card won’t include the Turing based GTX products like the 1660 or the 1650 GPUs. Further, the cards are expected to get 16Gbps memory speed - a jump from 14Gbps. TechRadar had said, “For the RTX 2080, that would mean a jump in memory bandwidth from 448GB/s to 512GB/s, an almost 15% increase (and faster memory bandwidth means a faster graphics card in general).”
