Hubballi: The Hubballi
Taluk Legal Services Committee has aimed to
plant 10,000
saplings in the taluk. Committee chairman A K Nagarajappa stated that it is part of the movement of planting one lakh saplings in the state by Karnataka State Legal Services Authority.
Saplings will be planted at
schools,
colleges, government offices, hostels, community halls and gram panchayat premises. “In the Karnataka State Law University’s premises alone, we are planting 1,000 saplings in association with forest and horticulture department officials,” he said.
He also invited businessmen, industrial bodies, NGOs and any other organizations or individuals to join hands in this initiative. “We are conducting a preparatory meeting at first floor meeting hall in the New Court Complex, Timmapur, Hubballi at 5.15pm on May 28 to discuss the initiative,” he said.
