Redmi Note 7S, Xiaomi’s latest budget smartphone with Snapdragon 660 and a 48MP primary camera sensor, will go on sale today through offline Mi Preferred Partner stores. The Redmi Note 7S was made available for sale online through Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home, Mi Store app yesterday and today, the phone can be purchased through Xiami’s partner brick-and-mortar stores. The next online sale of the phone is set for May 29, on Flipkart and Mi.com.

Prices for the Redmi Note 7S start at Rs 10,990 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version costs Rs 12,999. The handset comes in Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red colour models. In our first impressions of the Redmi Note 7S we noted, “It’s a phone made for those that crave the 48MP camera debuted with the Redmi Note 7 Pro, but at a lower price-point.”

Redmi Note 7S Specs

The Redmi Note 7S features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ water drop notch display with a 2340×1080p resolution. The display is covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC and has two storage and RAM variants as listed above. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 4. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the device and users can alternatively unlock it using Face Unlock.

In the camera department, the Redmi Note 7S comes equipped with a dual-rear camera setup. It has a 48MP + 5MP dual sensor configuration on the back that supports PDAF, EIS and AI Portrait Mode. The 48MP main camera features a half inch sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 1.6µm pixel pitch that is said to enable users to capture better images with “great” detail. The phone also features a Night Mode option in the camera. On the front, the Redmi Note 7S sports a 13MP camera that supports AI Portrait mode.
