Thai Body Shop Turns A Toyota MR2 Into A Lamborghini Veneno

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is one of the most gnarly looking road cars ever designed and unsurprisingly, it has inspired many body shops around the world to create equally as insane knockoffs.

What you’re looking at is a Veneno Roadster replica to recently come out of Thailand and while there’s absolutely no mistaking it for the real thing, we must commend those that made it for doing a relatively good job.

The first thing to note about the replica is that it is based on the small Toyota MR2 Spyder. This means the car has a significantly smaller footprint than a legitimate Veneno, hence why the proportions are so off.

We’re not entirely sure what materials were used to craft the distinctive body panels of this Thai rip-off but can see that the front end stretches out from the chassis of the Toyota with seemingly no support, indicating that it does have at least some level of strength. The lack of headlights show that the project is still a work in progress but we are rather impressed with the work that has been done. We have to give particular kudos to the rear-end which includes largely the same engine cover, rear wing, and rear diffuser design as Lamborghini’s creation. Heck, there are even the same four tailpipes as the real thing.

While it’s difficult to know how much the owner of this MR2 Spyder paid for the custom bodywork, we’re guessing that it’s only a fraction of the cost of the roughly $4 million required to purchase a Veneno or Veneno Roadster.
