Search under way for missing man, 77, east of Brisbane
An overnight search has continued as police and SES search for a 77-year-old Wellington Point man who never returned from his afternoon walk east of Brisbane.
Concerns are held for Keith Newton's safety after he left his Fernbourne Road home about 3pm on Thursday for his regular walk but has not been seen since.
He was wearing a white panama hat, a navy tracksuit and blue boat shoes.
Police said they were worried for his wellbeing as he had a medical condition. His behaviour was considered out of character.
Mr Newton was described as Caucasian, and about 180cm tall with a slim build and grey hair.
A police spokesman said Polair was tasked to the area while officers were searching on foot.
"SES has joined the search this morning as we continue to look for him," he said.
